Twitches

 

It was a cloudy day,

but I smiled. 

Perhaps the sky wasn't dark enough.

I shivered as the drops hit my back, 

Yet it left tingles in my frame. 

It had been a long time my mind was blank. 

A long time since I sighed. 

But even as lightning struck, 

And the dogs winced, 

My face hurts from smiling so wide

As the rain poured.
